Accessing Emails on a Mobile Device
Struggling with the headache of configuring your email accounts on your mobile device? Just follow our handy guide and you’ll be done in no time.
Android Devices
- For Android users first download and install the Outlook app to your device.
- Once completed, open Outlook and select ‘Add Account‘.
- Enter your email address provided by us; eg. hello@lollystick.co.uk and press continue.
- Select the ‘IMAP‘ option.
- Next step input the password provided by ourselves into the password field.
- If required enter a display name and account description. (eg. Work)
- Next up select the advanced settings icon.
- In the IMAP Host Name field input the incoming/outgoing mail server address provided by us. (If your email accounts end with @lollystick.co.uk then your mail server is ‘mail.lollystick.co.uk‘)
- In the IMAP Username field, repeat the email address provided by us.
- In the IMAP Password field, repeat the password provided by us.
- For the SMTP Host Name repeat the previous steps and input the incoming/outgoing mail server provided by us.
- In the SMTP Username field, repeat the email address provided by us.
- In the SMTP Password field, repeat the password provided by us.
- Once this is filled correctly select the tick icon in the top right of the screen. You should now be logged into your email account!
iOS/Apple Devices
- Go to Settings -> Accounts & Passwords (or Mail and then Accounts if Accounts & Passwords is not listed).
- Select Add Account.
- Select Other.
- Select Add Mail Account.
- Enter your Name, the Email address and the password as provided by ourselves and select Next.
- Ensure IMAP is selected.
- Under Host Name, enter into the Incoming Mail Server field the incoming/outgoing mail server address provided by us. (If your email accounts end with @lollystick.co.uk then your mail server is ‘mail.lollystick.co.uk‘)
- Enter the email address as the User Name under the heading Incoming Mail Server.
- Enter into the Outgoing Mail Server field the incoming/outgoing mail server address provided by us. (If your email accounts end with @lollystick.co.uk then your mail server is ‘mail.lollystick.co.uk‘)
- Enter the email address as the User Name under the heading Outgoing Mail Server.
- Enter the password as supplied by Lollystick under the heading Outgoing Mail Server.
- Click Next
- The setup will state it is verifying for up to a few minutes. A message regarding SSL will then be displayed. Select Yes when prompted with this message.
- The message will eventually be shown again. Select Yes again when prompted with this message. As before, this can take several minutes
- If prompted with any other messages, select Continue.
- Select Done.
- You should now have access to your email account!
If you have email hosting with us and require your access details just get in touch! If you’re hosted elsewhere you’ll need to obtain this information from your hosting provider.
